The subjects of Italian artist Pino Daeni are almost exclusively women—beautiful women found in various states of emotion. Always haunting, his works are typically set on beaches or in sensuous boudoirs. Those that include children especially elicit feelings of warmth, nostalgia, love, and family.

About the Artist
Born in Italy as Giuseppe Dangelico, Pino Daeni trained at the Art Institute of Bari and, later, at Milan's Academy of Brera. During that time, he perfected his skills painting nudes and figures, heavily influenced by the Pre-Raphaelites and Macchiaioli.
After establishing himself in Italy as a successful artist, Pino immigrated to the United States, seeking more artistic freedom and opportunity. He was soon discovered by the distinguished Borghi Gallery, which gave several exhibitions for him in New York and Boston.
Pino's early paintings featured soft romantic characters, mostly women dressed in flowing skirts and dresses. These caught the attention of both Dell and Zebra book publishers, who commissioned him to create book covers. He soon became the artist-in-demand for leading publishing houses, and to date, he has illustrated more than 3,000 books.
Pino's technique, his warm and exciting colors, and his subtle but simple approach to his subjects have made him one of today's most popular artists. His original paintings and his hand-embellished serigraphs and giclees are sought after by collectors throughout the art world.
